I cant find saved images when saved into actinic

This is driving me mad, having optimised my image etc, I save it to the site one file, buy when I go to select it in actinic its not there. Cant see it in the folder in exploere either.
But I can see it in the file when using browse in corel draw. I have tried different formats etc but where are they?
    Any help much appreciated

Then it's not there. Either you've saved it somewhere else on your system or on a completely different computer on your LAN if you have one. Use the Windows Search command to locate it.

Sounds like you (Corel) saved the optimised image somewhere else. Try doing a search on your computer for the file(s).

Sounds like file type needs to show all file types within the folder OR they are not saved where you say they are and probably the wrong format.

          Thank you for responding but

Could it be that somehow the file is protected by Vista, they are in there as I can open them in corel, but they are invisible in actinic, its as if they are hidden, could it be a security thing?

Good NEWS I am not mad!

Having trawled the posts, I have found there is some kind of compatibility problem with jpeg images.
When you save the image into your actinic folder for some reason its invisible.
Go to ie and visit the folder and they are still invisible, click "compatibility" and they appear!
Rename them and save and low and behold they appear in actinic windows.
There is another thread inwhich Chris Dicken was looking for other examples, so maybe you will pick this up.

                Thanks all for your help

Ahah. A Vista quirk! Thanks for informing us.

I don't think that very many of us are daring to use Vista yet on production quality systems. That's why none of us thought of that.

Maybe it's worth forum FAQ or other notice to let people know that it's worth letting us know if Vista is involved when posting problems.

                      Edward,

This post now contains enough keywords so you don't need to do anything else.

Also let's hope that the Forum moderators will notice this and maybe add something to the FAQ.

Noticed and will pass this on to be added to a FAQ. Thanks for the input.

                        Kind regards,

Its not a vista problem - its a bug thats been arround for a few months now but Ive not heard of any fix yet.

Technically it is not a vista problem but a problem in with vista and actinic.
