Problem with New Product listing feature

Hi, I seem to be having a product with the "New Product Listing" feature - when I open the menu I am unable to change the number of new products listed, and I get the error message "An invalid argument was encountered".

I've tried the usual trick of shutting everything down and reloading but I'm still getting the same error. I am using ver 8.5 and Vista. Any suggestions appreciated

Thread bump, because this is still giving me grief

When I open the New Product feature in Marketing, I get the error message when I pass the mouse cursor over the table of new products. I am unable to change any of the settings (number of products, number of days).

If you don't get an answer is normally because no-one knows.

In this case you are asking about an install on Vista....thus my advice is to wait for someone from Actinic to respond which they will eventually, or simply phone Actinic. There are very few Vista users, hence the lack of replies.

I dont have Vista at the moment so have asked someone who does to take a look at this for you.

This issue has been fixed with v8.5.1 which is in Beta at the moment. Should not be too long to production.

Hi there,

We're using Actinic Catalog 8.5.1 .0.0.0.HFUA and we seem to have a similar problem.

For the best sellers list, the 'number of products in list' setting is stuck on 6 and the new products list this is stuck on 5.

I can't seem to click into the box to change these numbers.

Is this still an issue with Vista? Will actinic have any updates to correct this or will I have to use an XP machine instead. Also just out of interest, what's the maximum number of products which can be on the list?

I believe that problem is one that has been "fixed" in 8.5.2

it's only available as a beta at the minute so you'll probably have to wait.
There's an 8.5.2 thread somewhere on the V8 forums that should give more details
