    Locations problem

I'm using v8 and attempting to streamline my "ship to" locations.

The first / default ship to country is the UK, as we are UK based, however, the software only allows the customer to select US States and Provinces, and not those set up for the UK shipping zone.

I'm a bit stuck as to why this is the case, but it doesn't create too good an impression, and I'm keen to rectify it.

    I'd appreciate anyone's comments.

Have you set up zones/classes yet? Go to Shipping tab, delete the existing zones and create one for the UK

Have you got the US version of the software?

Hi Jo thanks for the swift response.

Yes the shipping zones are all well established, and we have the UK version.

No matter which country you select as the ship to destination, the only "state / province" choices that you can make are those from the US.

        Ok, I see now....

For the UK the default should be something like "Select State if Applicatable" so UK shoppers can simply ignore the prompt.

I don't have a site on my PC that ships to the US so can't help anymore.

          I'm getting warm.

It appears that editing "Settings>Locations" has NO impact on the shipping destination / country / province.

It does look like I need to revisit the shipping zones. looks like I mis-understood it.
