Need to reduce all prices by 17.5%

    Hi all

Is their a way to automatically reduce all actinic product prices by 17.5% as we are now VAT registered.

I know that I could do this by exporting the table and do the calculations in excel then import the table back in but I feel there must be a way to do this simple thing within access.

I also know that mole end have a price utility that could do this for me, but it does not seem worth buying that tool which is much more complex than I really need.

    Any help would be appreciated

An export to excel (as detailed elsewhere on the boards) is by far the simpliest method for a one off operation such as this.

There isn't a quick fix for this operation within Access.
You can write code to manipulate most data in Access, but the time spent learning, writing and executing is pointless for a one time operation, unless you already well versed in visual basic (or whatever Access is using these days).

Have a look in the Access Help for "Update Query". Remember that the prices are held in pennies and you'll need a whole number in your result.
