    Hi Paul

I'm afraid I have the same problem so my only way round is to edit the pages in DW manually as my DW plug in don't work, i nfact it don't even install due to a missing extension.dll. It keeps telling me to re-install but having installed V8 three times I gave up

We had this issue in the dim and distant past...

        checkout this thread

We use XPP, unsure if this will apply to Vista

          cheers

I'll check the link but I'm using XP home, the DW don't actually install full sstop let alone not work....

          well strange

I mean, it wont install as there is a missing extension.dll file - I have re-installed V8 several times but still nothing - anyone got this file?

The extension all install okay but they are greyed out in DW and there is no tab in Act V8 or 8.51 for that matter

I'm missing the extension.dll file , this is my point, not that it's NOT working, it aint there to install in the first place!!!

It may be obvious, but make sure you have the Macromedia Extension Manager itself installed first. This is an optional installed component of Macromedia - you cannot install any extensions without it.

Following on from what Duncan has said, have you found the Dreamweaver extension as follows :-
                    C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\Extensions\Dreamweaver\Actinic_Assistant and installed it?

                          Hi Kev

Have you tried forcing DW to reconfigure when you launch?

What is the version 8 you are using (should be 8.0.2)
