Another Shipping Question - uk counties

Have searched the forum but cannot find an answer -

I would like to Use UK Counties to determine the shipping charge.

Whilst I can set them up as Classes within the UK shipping zone, the firt entry in the table is always applied as the default shipping charge.

I was thinking of making the Special Delivery field mandatory ( any hint on how to do this would be appreciated ), but is there no easier / slicker way.

First off how are you shipping, is it by weight? If so have you defined a weight for your products, this needs to be done else the default weight that you set in Shipping and handling would always apply and nothing else.

A search on the forum for 'UK Counties' OR 'Channel Islands' will produce threads dealing with these issues.

You can make the special delivery instructions box mandatory by going into 'Design | Text | Web Site(Cont)' here click on the 'Shipping and Tax' tab, scroll down to the bottom and select the 'Required' checkbox against the option.
