Connection problem

During the 'Mail Set Up' stage of the Upload Website command. I am getting the following message:

The Wizard received an enexpected exception while testing teh web server's Perl environment. The operation timed out.
Try again later.

This is happening all the time and is obviosly preventing me from uploading.

Any ideas?

Can you explain this? Make sure you are using 8.5 also as this has the least bugs and is the latest version.

I am using Vista (unfortunately) so that too may be causing a problem

Will download 8.5 and see if this makes any difference.

Im afraid upgrading to 8.5 has not resolved the problem.

What I am doing is this:
Web > Configure Web Site Details...


It is during the final stage 'Email Setup' that I am experiencing difficulties.


I initially just did Web > Upload website
but I was having problems with cgi-bin and the app advised me to run the 'Configure Web Site Details..' first.

There is definately a cgi-bin (chmod 777) in the root directory

Any help appreciated.

Post your network settings John and maybe post them in the "upload problems" forum? Have you searched for your provider on the forum, see if there is any help?
