Is it possible to use this var outside of the innerlayout? I can't seem to get it to appear unless its in there.

If this is the case, can you have two innerlayouts on one page?

Explain what you are trying to do Paul, there may be a better way of doing it.

I think because the ProductDescription is a product scoped variable it can only exist in a product layout - otherwise it wouldn't know which product it was referring to.
