Back Orders Not Working

Hi All,

I have searched the forum but cannot find why I have this problem.

I recently changed my site to have back orders using the allow back orders in business settings.

However it is not working properly, with every order downloaded if I go in and ship part order etc the back orders remains at zero.

I have run out of ideas so any help would be great.

After marking the bits you can ship as shipped, did you close the order and click the backorder button ?

Thanks for the reply.

I have just done what you asked about (didn't realise it worked that way), but all it has done is create another part order whilst the original order is showing 60% complete and says 0 items in the back order column.

Any ideas?

Scrub that it has now I realise changed to 20% outstanding.

When I clear the back order that has just been created will this clear both orders.
