    Easyspace Shared SSL

    Hi folks!

I have just used Actinic to put up my local dive club/school's website with http://www.divestation.co.uk. I have never done any web design before, but am finding Actinic Catalog to be a great tool to achieve a halfway decent looking site.

Now, I have a problem, hence my post here

I simply cannot get shared SSL working correctly with Easyspace, my dive clubs host.

I have tried changing numerous settings to no avail

I have attached the exported network settings from Actinic for your review to see if there is anything obviously incorrect.

Now, If I am correct in thinking, the Easyspace has set up our hosting is as follows.

Our website is hosted on Server A at Easyspace. This contains our cg-bin and www/acatalog folders.

They have provided us with secure server space at www.fastweb.co.uk (Server B)

I am assuming that this is physically a different server to the one the website is on. It has it's own cgi-bin folder.

If this is so, Actinic can still run the shared SSL on the checkout and confirmation pages but AFAIK it needs some kind of link back to the original /www/acatalog/ folder on Server A. This is accomplished by something called an nfs file I think ?

How can I check that this is in place on server B?

When I enable shared SSL from within Actinic, as soon as you go to the checkout I get an error saying the page cannot be found.
I have attached a screen of my SSL settings too.

Any advice before I ring Easyspace yet AGAIN and mash my head against the keyboard?

Probably best placed in the "Upload Problems" forum and have you had a search on easyspace for any help already in the forum?

I had a problem with the same hosts yesterday on a clients hosting package and i found the answers i needed via search. I was not using SSL though.

      Hi

I dont know if you have sorted this problem now, but the info they send out from easyspace might not be what you need!

They have to register a username and password for the shared ssl and it is usually set up as internetters on the shared ssl set up tab in fasthosts. Check this out with Easyspace support
