Is It O.K. To Delete "Powered BY.." If so How?

Are we allowed to permanently take the following links off of the Search html and info html
Powered by Actinic shopping cart software and pos system

If so how?

Yes it is ok, it is just an actinic advert. Select it in design view on a page where it shows and remove the variable that is putting it there.
