    easy question- basket summary block

    Hi all,

I'm creating a site using Actinic Catalog v8. I am trying to create a baseket summary (like the one that appears on the left of http://www.wmsplc.co.uk/) or the one on Amazon.co.uk.

At present I'm using the default theme and have made:

    http://www.single-use-instruments.co.uk

Although this is a good start, I found by observing users that they cannot seem to figure out if/how to get to the checkout, and I wanted to make it extremely obvious.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Your link is somewhat hidden or should i say it blends into the page a little too much. I like to have the link on the navigation bar as this is where they get used to looking for links. You could add it to the navbar in the same format as the other buttons or have it as a different colour.

Personally, i'm not a fan of links all over the place, i think they should all be in one place, so that your users know where to go and how to find things easily. Example. Links across the top, down the left (except for site sections etc.) and then occasional links at the bottom of pages is not user friendly and bad design IMO.

If i go to my cutlery drawer, i expect to find all the cutlery i have in that drawer, i don't expect to have to search under the fridge for a spoon. Websites should be the same IMO.
