    "sort by" solution?

    Hi all-

Just scouting out e-commerce packages that will sync with Quickbooks POS, and was oh so close to going with Actinic. The only problem? The site I'm building is designed to rely heavily on sort filters (by price, designer, size, etc.), which Actinic doesn't seem to offer out of the box.

Yes, I noticed this thread in the wishlist, but are there any examples of someone who's integrated this functionality, or anyone that could shed more light on this topic? I'd love to purchase Actinic ASAP, and get the build started ... unfortunately this is the one thing that's holding me back!

    Thanks.

Actinic generates static HTML pages and not dynamic database driven sites which is the functionality I think you are after.

You can undertake complex searches but this does not show you a listing of products to add to cart facilities etc. The work around has been to add duplicates into different sections to thereby enable the user to have access to products contained within the specific pre-designated sections (pre-filtered results if you like)

As Jont says, you could only do this out of the box by having duplicate products on different pages, ordered by hand in the way you want.

It would be possible (with a LOT of tricky customising) to be able to display all products on a single page in different ways. I did a demo of this for V7 - see http://www.drillpine.biz/v7php-test/...c_Products.php for a sample site. Note that this would only allow you to filter and order the products on a page. Not display a list of items from other pages.

Thanks you two. Guess it's back to more research!
