    Newsletters

    Hi
Just looking at the pros and cons of using a pc based mail system such as Group mail to send out newsletters compared to online systems such as dotmailer. Has anyone had experience of this
    Thanks

There are many flavours out there, it really does depend what you wish to do with it....

numbers, designs, cron jobs (auto processing of s/o's), any further info will allow me to advise further if you wish.

Ive just loaded up Office 2007 and it has a newletter feature built in - I dont know how good it is but if you have it its would be worth checking out.

one consideration with this, is how it does its send.

if it plugs into Outlook you may find your ISP only allows you to send 30 emails at once.

For Newsletters you really need proper software that sends in batches, or use an online service

It does so as jo says if you are planning on sending thousands then you will be best off with an external system that is geared up properly. If you are sending a few then its looks pretty good - Iv only read the handbook so far though!
