I use campaign monitor (www.campaignmonitor.com) to manage mailing lists and deliver newsletters. Has anyone incorporated a subscription form into their checkout phase ?

I have modified the .pl to include the neccessary fields that seemed to work whils I was in the testing mode but did not dare use it in the live site because of my lack of understanding of just how Actinic handled the fields and was, perhaps, a little scared of cocking up the checkout processes!
It has been suggested that a zero charge product be created and allow the potential subscriber to 'buy' it and then capture their details that way.
If you are a perl expert and fully understand how actinic handles the .pl stuff, I would be happy to send you my modified script for you to 'fiddle' with...
