    payment procesing

I am not sure as to which company I should use for credit card payment processing. I am in the process of building a site but a number of my customers have said they dont want to use Paypal. I have had a look at e-clear which looks like it will work with Actinic.

    Any advice welcome

I suggest HSBC - BIG bank, you get to use thier logo and people know who they are.

I suggest shopping around, there are many big banks and PSPs that can be integrated, you need to investigate a selection of them to find out who will give the best deal.

But in reality its your client who should be phoning as they will be asked sensitive questions about turnover, average transaction value etc. Your clients bank will then have their own recommedations

As a developer you can suggest to your client who to contact. They should start with their current bank as and existing relationship will often get a better rate. They will need a merchant acct if they don't already have one. If they already have merchant status they then need a PSP. (Unless they plan to manually process orders)

Places to start include (ie most popular with community users)

PSPs - Protx, Netbanx, Secpay, Worldpay, HSBC

Otherwise go to Payment tab and investigate others listed there that are integrated
