    Background Colour

    Hi,

I have finally got my site up and running with shared SSL certificate provided by 4surehosting (excellent service btw, much better than the last outfit who attempted to provide it).

However, when the browser is redirected to the secure server, the page colour is bright green. I am using a background image on the main site and as far as I can tell, the secure server takes its settings from the main site for colours etc.

I cannot seem to find this green colour anywhere from within Actinic...any ideas?

    TIA

Take a look at Themes and Colours on the design menu

Yes, I already checked in there but the background is set to White (#FFFFFF)

      left me scratching my head.

      Any other ideas?

Ok I have made some progress on this but it's definitely a weird one.

Any further input is greatly received.

Ok, I re-checked my settings from within Actinic and sure enough, there was no sign of this bright green colour in the palette. so I went through and individually checked the code for each html page on my site and again couldn't find anything.

So, I viewed the page source of the secure payment page and saw this ...

        "<body bgcolor="wavebgd3.jpg" text="#000000" link="#006633" vlink="#006633" alink="#003300">"

Ok, so I removed the background image from my site and re-uploaded it to my host and the SSL side of things appeared white as I want! Hurrah !

However, I then put my background image back on and reuploaded and the green came back.

So then I changed the background image to an entirely different one and this time the SSL background was black!

        Curious and curiouser...

For my last test I re-uploaded my original background graphic BUT I renamed it from wavbgd3.jpg to ffffff.jpg and now the background colour is bright yellow!!

So, I *think* that somehow, the page is generating the bg-color based on some kind of conversion of the image name into a hex number to get the result..

Any thoughts? I just want a plain white background without losing the background image on my site!

Well thats got the Shared SSL side of things working fantastic now.

I see that in the sticky for the 8.5.1 release that the shared SSL page now supports background images, How do I implement this as I can find no mention of it elsewhere?

              TIA

I don't think you have to do anything apart from install the latest version.
