    problem upgrading V7 to V8

I get the following error when trying to import a site snapshot from V7 to V8

    1st dialogue box error:

"Failed to create new field [bHandSupplAppliedOnce] in table [Product] - fatal error.
    Reported error was:

    Too many fields defined."

    2nd dialogue box error:

"A serious error occured while upgrading the database. Please use a previous version of Actinic."

    3rd dialogue box error:

    "Errors
(File ExportSite.cpp, Line 1353) - Upgrade of the imported site database failed. This is a serious error and may leave the site in an unusable state. You may have to restore the site from the backup file created before import (C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\SiteBackups\OverwrittenSite.zip)."

    Actinic then shuts down!

The original site has been upgraded over time from maybe from V5 to V6, then V6 to V7 and now trying to get it to V8.

Due to above errors you have to completely uninstall and re-install actinic V8 as it sends it into a loop trying to upgrade the site and then fails and closes.

    Any ideas?

I actually only want the content as I have redsigned the site in full so just want to import the products. From V7 i cant seem to do an export as it just pauses at one bar on the progress bar. i have compacted the database and also tried to export on a fresh install of V7 developer 7.0.7.0.0.0.HCFA

I seem to think this happened before

Maybe the solution on page 3 could help?

i believe the database is already access 2000 as its from V7. Looks like the this solution was to solve problems with the uploaded website.

        Dean,

Has this been sorted as yet? The error sure looks like it is to do with the incorrect version of Access DB.

        Kind regards,
