Related Products to Expand Full Width

I'm using the product layout Standard with image on left. I am happy with this layout and don't want to change it...however...I am using related products with images underneath each product in order to display other items within the range. This would work really nicely if I could get these to expand to the full width of the main body area i.e. from under the product image to the left hand side instead of just displaying underneath the product description. Can this be done? Thanks

Yes. How to achieve this depends on the exact layout in place.. if it is a tabled layout you will need to either introduce a new <td> spanning the existing cells, or if CSS check the styling to the image and then possibly clear the other content to force the full width.
