Is it possible to have more than one image in the extended information window, for example can the single image be replaced by a series of images in a slide slow for example?

It would certainly be possible.
You would need to create an extra variable for each additional image at product level and then have some Javascript running an image rotation sequence.
I guess a flash movie could be embedded too, however that would be a lengthy process to create each movie and would also require flash knowledge.
If you know Javascript or flash, definitely possible. -
If you just wanted to do this using one image you could create the the extended info image as an animated gif (using photoshop and Adobe Image Ready). Basically you create a multi layered image and then choose which layer to show at which point and how long you want each layer to show for.Comment
