    One Click Order Completion problem

OK, first morning on V8 and I figured I'd try out this handy new feature

Business settings...One click order completion is ticked.

I need a packing list AND invoice printing.

So, I have the following boxes checked (actually, I'll just screen grab and attach, it'll be easier!)

Highlighted orders to be processed and clicked "complete" (at bottom right)

    It printed invoices first!

Then gave me a pop up message (which I now wish I'd screen grabbed also!) saying that some of the reports could not be prepared because the order was already complete (presumably referring to the packing lists)

It gave me the option to print them anyway (which I did) but it kinda defeated the object of the "one click" order completion

Shouldn't it be printing packing lists first and then invoices??

    Tracey,

Sorry this has not had an answer as yet. Can you send me a screengrab of the error please, it does not sound quite right. Email it to me please.

    Kind regards,

ahhh...I forgot to do it this morning..
I'll do it tomorrow and screen grab the messages.
I know *why* it did it...because it sent the invoice to print FIRST and then didn't want to print a packing list because the order was complete.
I'll do a screen grab tomorrow

I am having a problem with this feature too. It doesn't seem to be sending the 'order shipped' email to the customer. I have the box ticked, but when I look at the order details, the email is not shown as sent. I have blanked out the email address on the screen grab for privacy.

I thought that the emails were pooled and all sent at the same time when you do - Operations > Send emails?

I was going to say that too, Lee

Same as when you select to send the customer an "order received" email when you process and offline order, I assumed this "Order shipped" email option generated them in a queue for sending rather than sending them straight away.

Amanda, do you print a packing list and an invoice? or just an invoice? I'm curious to know if it's just me who is unable to get the packing lists to print using the "one click" feature

Unfortunately I can't help with the packing list problem as we don't use them.

very true - it should be called two click order processing

There is a reason for it, but i can't remember what it is to be honest. I understand that it appears to defeat the object, but in reality, 2 extra clicks of the mouse is hardly something that makes it a waste of time. The extra 4 seconds weighed up against the minutes saved using the feature make it well worthwhile IMO.

LOL, well you have 3 clicks to do before it works anyway lol.

I may have been wrong, the help says:

Send an email to the customer. You can use the 'Email Template' field to choose which email is sent. This email is sent immediately, i.e. it is not queued to be sent.

LOL, roll up, roll up, lottery tickets for sale.

And then the site got banned by the hosts for spamming, site owner took it out on his wife, she left him and he crashed his car on the way to the offie?
