Hi,
Help!!! I am stuck! I am upgrading to v8 and am keen to use LINK. But I have many products in Actinic which reference the same single entries in Quickbooks (QB). ie a many to one relationship.
For example, a Freehand yoyo is available in 8 colours. So in Actinic I have 8 products: one for each colour. Freehand red, Freehand green etc. In Quickbooks I have one Item. Freehand. I do not record items down to the colour level in QB.
When I create a Link Translation table I get this type of error:
This value: 'Aerobie: Dogobie disc' is found more than once in the 'QuickBooks Reference' column, in the Translation table.
I do not want to use Attributes with colour choices because my customers like to be able to see each colour. Plus this would mean a major rework of my site! I prefer to list each colour as a distinct item.
I cannot use product duplicates since I think I cannot set separate stock levels for the duplicates.
The only way round this I can see at the moment is to create a separate stock item in Quickbooks for each colour for each yoyo. This would quadruple an already large QB inventory!
Is there any way to allow duplicate entries for Quickbooks references in the LINK translation table?
Any help greatly appreciated since I am beginning to wonder if I have made a mistake with deciding to upgrade...
Thanks in anticipation,
Pete
