    Tags,keywords-- bold/H1 problems

i have started to do my keywords and my H1 tags etc etc as per discussions on this very forum

i have used web ceo to see if what im learning is making a difference

but i have a question before this young jedi carrys on his quest to actinic glory

why when i select pagetitle, keywords etc to be strong or H1 style doe sit show that in the web browser

eg: page title was : Welcome to my store...
change it to bold makes it show as : </strong> Welcome to my store<strong/>

    or somethign similar

the public see this but i would of thought surely they shouldnt????

answers on a postcard to ???????????

Formatting your page titles will mak NO difference t your rankings and as you have noted the formatting will be shown. Best have another think and read a bit more

Your tags are showing as they are incorrectly formed.

      <strong>bold text</strong>

Deffo you, actinic doesn't do this - </strong> Welcome to my store<strong/>.

In fact no package in the world does that, only coding mistakes do that.

hi in the design tab, if you double clic on page title, you can select bold or H1,2 etc

this is what i did, ,,, the above was just me giving an example
obviously wrong as it was getting late

do the bold and H1 options in actinic not do anything useful?

Yes they do - but H tags are not for use on title tags

Read about your question in reverse.

you said you were trying to make TITLE, keywords - ie meta tags bold. As Mal says this is pointless, these are meta tags not HTML.

<strong>text here</strong> is valid HTML and will be used to display selected page text in bold..

So yes when used correctly within Actinic they format text as specified.

Just for clarity as the others have already made the point. What you want to do is 'bold' your keywords where they appear in the content of your page, rather than in the keywords metatag.

hi what i am trying to do is learn from web ceo as it is saying this
                          2. <BODY> area:
                          Visible text

                          1. Your page has too few words! We recommend that it have 113 to 1320 words instead of 102 words, which you have now. Make your page more informative by adding some content to the visible area of your page which is also known as <Body>.

                          2. None of your keywords are in bold!

im slowly working my way through its comments and improving all the time

i just need to bold my keywords, and i thought by selecting the "BOLD" option in actinic when you double click on pagetitle/keyword etc etc it would cure this problem?

                          but obviously not

back i go to read while printing my wedding invitations ;(

You need to differentiate between code that sits behind your site and code that your visitors can see. Product descriptions are visible to your visitors, so bold within there, using the actinic bold facility.
