    FTP Problems

    Hi all,

    Am looking for some help!

We have tried to upload a site for a client, however I get the following the error message when we try and upload....

'Unable to contact to the ftp server because the specified username or password is incorrect'

However, the username and password are correct. We have done the obvious things like resetting passwords.

There are some additional points which may help....

The computer the Actinic software has been installed on runs on small netowrk provided for him by BT - it's apparantly called 2WIRE.

We are hosting the site via Fashosts on a Linux Server.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks
    Mark

      Hi,

Thanks for the quick response. I've got this information second hand from the client as I'm not on site at the moment. These are all of the details they have......

      server details - catalogurl - http://www.matrixbathrooms.com/acatalog/
      cgi-bin url - http://www.matrixbathrooms.com/cgi-bin/
      code base - ./
      path from bin - ../acatalog/

ftp details - server host ftp.matrixbathrooms.com
      user name - **
      password - **
      path to cgi-bin htdocs/cgi-bin/
path from cgi-bin to acatalog as viewed by the ftp server - ../acatalog/

      Common Settings
cgi script id number = 1, ext pl
      (no tick boxes are ticked)

      Website URL http://www.matrixbathrooms.com
path to perl shell - /usr/bin/perl

I see an upload has already taken place, was this you or your client?

If it was the client ask them to export their settings and you can bring them in and attempt to re-connect

Nothing obvious in the ns you have put up that I can see.

It was made by us from our office. All the settings have remained the same. What I'm wondering is if their network is blocking access?
