Setting a different home page

How easy is it to set a different home page in Actinic? I have unticket the 'use as website home page' box on the general tab of the home page. I then went to design options and where it says 'home page link' I have entered the URL 'shop.html' but this has not worked.

Is there an easy way of setting the main parent product section as the home page? I have tried deleting the home page but it won't let me as I have brochure pages, which I need.

If I read this correctly that you want the site to open at domain/acatalog/index.html

you will need to do this with htaccess 301 permantant redirect from domain/index.html to domain/acatalog/index.html
