I need to install 8.5.1 onto a machine that will be used only for downloading and processing orders. A few questions please...
Q1) I presume that I only need to install 851 onto the said machine, remove all the 'example' files and import the Network setup. Then in Options of Business settings only have 'Order Processing' & 'Logon/card encryption' ticked...Please confirm, or should I be doing something else?
Q2) After setting up 'Order Processing' only on the PC on my laptop (with full Catalog) , I have noticed that;
(a) it is possible for the user to switch it back to 'Catalog' & 'Network Setup' again, thus making the installation vulnerable to 'fiddling fingers'!
(b) even in Orders only mode, it seems that it is possible to ‘update’ the site – Is it possible to inhibit these features so that the user of that machine can ONLY download orders? (if so, How?)
