Transfer minor layout changes to client pc

Hello,

When a site is done, I zip the site1 directory and place it on my server and my client downloads it to his machine and updates his site, ok? He has catalog and I have designer. There are things (eg minor modifications made to a given layout) that I only can perform. So, when I have to transfer back the modification to him, I normally wouldn't have to have him download the whole thing again, right? So, how can I send him just what has been changed?

Because of the shortcomings and lack of confidence with design snapshots I generally create some instructions with a couple of image grabs and a text file with the changes. So it essentially becomes a pictorial cut and paste exercise for the client - a bit like paint by numbers Actinic style. I find this quicker than creating and testing a design snapshot.
