OK, almost there!!!!!! Discounts Help!!

I want to give 20$ off the purchase of any 2 lamps. I went to discounts on each product I wanted this activated and did so. Shoppingcart says different. Please try it and see attached.

In the reward type on the discounts and surcharges settings you have fixed price selected as the reward and it shows $20.00, try changing this to % off (and 20 rather than $20.00) this should do it, hopefully!!

First create a product group that contains all the products you want the offer to apply to, then apply the discount to that group. On the Miscellaneous tab, then select the box for consolidate cart level discount and only one discount per order. That should give you the correct results. If it does not, then check your tax setup.

I'm guessing you are setup for sales tax, and that probably accounts for the differences you are seeing. (i.e. first discount of $20 dollars on item 1 quantity one [because its the product you have discounted - not a group] = $20 less sales tax. second discount of $20 dollars (because you did not say only one discount per order) appears to be giving you $20 less sales tax on the new total discount of $40).

Hi,

So I go to group setup and move over on the right side all the products i want to apply the offer to. i thought that when entering the product, i went to discounts tab and chose my 20$ discount which i setup in the pics above. So I need to do both then?
