update problems from snapshot

Hi everyone,

I've built and uploaded a website (http://www.sunagor.co.uk/) for a customer. We're both running v8.5.1 but when i send him a snapshot he is unable to upload.

I've talked him through both the 'purge & refresh' and 'refresh' processes but still gets an error message and fails.

Is there a way around this that I'm not thinking of?

Some questions:
1. Does he have any firewall settings restricting his end? Can he ftp manually into the webspace?
2. Has he run the network test? And what are the results?
3. What is the detail of the error message you are referring to?

here is the error from a network test:

"An error occured while checking the FTP transfer mode -- 200 Switching to ASCII mode.
200 PORT command successful. Consider using PASV.
425 Failed to establish connection.
Try using the other mode."

here is the error from a website refresh:

"An FTP error occurred. Error: The operation timed out"

"An FTP error occurred. Error: There is already an FTP request in progress on this session"

my customer is looking into his firewall settings now

Try 'Check' ing Use Passive FTP Transfers in the Network Settings.
