    Translation Table Woes

I think I have found an undocumented 'feature' of the Actinic LINK for Quickbooks. Actually, it is a major limitation and a real show-stopper for me

In the translation table there seems to be a limit on the length of the text in the Quickbooks Reference CSV field that the translator will handle. Despite there being no similar limitation in Quickbooks, when importing a translation CSV file into LINK the translation software stops importing at the first Quickbooks field with a length of >50.

    eg.

"YoyoJam:Sunset Trajectory:Sunset Trajectory Purple" (string length 50 chars works ok)

"Yomega Assemblies:Power Brain XP:Power Brain XP Blue" (string length 52 chars does NOT import at all nor do any records after this point.)

Bruce, if I can't use LINK (which was a BIG justification for my purchase of Actinic Business Multi-site v8 and given the other problems I am experiencing with my upgrade then I really think I have wasted my money.

Please please please tell me I am wrong and that LINK will accept a longer field length? And that we will soon have a version 8 that is as reliable as version 7?

    Hi Peter

I'm going to run this pass development to see what they have to say. As soon as I hear something from them I'll get back to you.

    Kind Regards
