Download the latest version, that should solve it.

if your most recent snapshot is also messed, then use the one previous to it and keep repeating until you find a workable snapshot.

or

slowly work though your current site undoing all the changes you have made until you find the change that has triggered the coding error

Thanks Pinbrook, it was related to the shopping cart. resety layouts and all is OK. Just have to add all my tweeks back in (carefully).

Could you please breakdown which layouts you reset for an actinic beginner as i'm getting the same problem.

When i try to add products to the cart it comes up with the 'general script error'- Error: Could not locate the product reference.

Any help would be much appreciated on this.

P.S - why did a forum search not pick this thread up but Google did?

I updated to the latest V8.5.1 software and it solved this problem in the end
