In version 7 it was possible to check spelling by using Access and opening the the ActinicCatalog file.
How would you do it in version 8?

Same.... actinicCatalog.mdb is still there

Don't use Access much at all, found out I had to dig a little deeper into it. All my spelling mistakes are hopefully all fixed now.
