Business trial version and Dreamweaver

Hi there,

I'm hoping somebody can help with the following. I have been using Catalog for some time and using dreamweaver to edit pages which works very nicely thank you very much, however......

I recently downloaded the trial version of Business because we are thinking of upgrading but the link between dreamweaver and business does not appear to be working. I am aware there are problems with dreamweaver CS3 and actinic so I'm using Dreamweaver 8.

When I installed the actinic extension it said a file was missing and the 'edit layout in dreamweaver' icon is not shown in actinic where the helpfiles say it should be.

At the end of my tether. Any help gratefully received.

I would un install and re-install actinic and the DW extension and try again. Clear the enite v8 folder from your PC

Make sure you have a snapshot of your catalog site and download 851.hfua full version.

Make sure you loaded the extension manager with DW8. Try reinstalling the Actinic extension by double-clicking on Actinic Assistant.mxp in:
C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\Extensions\Dreamweaver\Actinic_Assistant
You should see the special icon on the Actinic Assistant.mxp file if the Extension Manager is installed.

You can also run the DW Extension Manager and check it is installed and enabled.

Also make sure you are using the latest (full) version of Actinic.

I am aware there are problems with dreamweaver CS3 and actinic so I'm using Dreamweaver 8.

We have been using CS3 for two weeks now without incident. There is no reason the extensions won't run with DWCS3 & Actinic.

The issue arises when you have had the extensions previously working and you have then installed CS3 (any flavour).

What you need to be aware of is that the ext manager is a whole new ball game for CS3. To use with EXT. MAN with Act. & CS3 you need to ensure you have selected the appropriate extension and RE-ENABLED IT WITHIN THE DW EXT. MANAGER.

If you have the developers toolbox, ensure this is installed first with your cs3 app.

Once again, to re-iterate, there is NO issue with the extension working in CS3 <=> Actinic.
