Just untick the 'Username and Password required' box and run the test again.

I tried that already. attached is the reponse. I called support and they said that is all you need. It is the software.

Help server help file states port settings. How do i check this in actinic?

The SMTP relay service is configured to work with the following ports: Port 25, Port 80, and Port 3535. For most email systems, the default port is 25 and your email client uses this automatically. If your ISP employs a firewall that prevents relays from using port 25, you may need to change your port settings to 80 or 3535. For information about setting up your email account to work with a specific email client, see one of the following tutorials:

Try setting the SMTP Server as Localhost.

Also make sure you have created and sent and received (with your email client) an email with the email adddress you have configured in your business settings.

          Did Duncans suggestion work?

Settings that work on 99% of our client sites are set this way.

          SMTP SERVER : localhost

U/N and P/W fields empty and box unchecked as stated above.
