majr catalog and upload problem

hi all

been trying to uplad changes to the site for a few days and just keeps crashing and asking if i want to send an error report. in the last few mins it is now displaying the following message:

There was a problem with the database

Operation: Opening the [BestSellers] table

Unrecognized database format 'C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\Sites\beddingcentres\ActinicCatalog.mdb'.

Action: Contact your Actinic reseller or Actinic Support as appropriate

then it uploads for a while then shows another error message saying that the file above (the database) cannot be found. i have not changed this in any way

can someone help please?

First port of call for any DB issue is to compact the DB, have you done this?

not yet. do i need to ring actinic direct?
