    http request error - SMTP

    Hi
When I try and upload my site (web - Configure Web Site Details) I get the following error message at the final stage.
"an error occured while sending an HTTP request to the web server. Perhaps your network is down or the web server is down. Try again or contact your network administator or ISP to correct the situation"

I've set the SMTP address to mail.domainname.com. My host is hostgator which is a Linux server and I can find any material on these host on the community.

    Any suggestions
    Gareth

Try a network test and post any errors. It will also help to post an export of your network settings (without passwords and usernames).

Do these settings give you an error when you run the network test?

Does it cause any problems because I have built this site in Designer and am uploading to my server for a client who will be using Catalog Client from their pc?
