catalogue is stuck on suspended!!

Hey All

this is really stupid & im probably being really "special", but my cart isnt suspended, yet whenever i click add to cart i get this.

"Essential work is being carried out on the shop. It is not possible to place orders at the moment. Please try again later." in the browser?!

I must have missed something because, "settings | business settings | ordering"
has the online ordering tickbox set to allowed & suspended isnt ticked.

what could i have missed ????

Have you got your store configured to accept orders from unregistered customers?

yup ive gone thru the whole of actinic to see i i could figure out what has caused this, i even compacted the database and refreshed the site. im about to do it again.

If your sure every thing is OK, go to trouble shooting and purge and refresh the fil files

Or just do a complete site refresh
