    No Site Group ACD

Upon trying to import an ACD created under v8.5.1HFUA into my copy of v8.5.0HBEA I get the following error:

"The selected file does not contain a Site group - it contains a user selected import"

The ACD was created in the usual fashion by a community developer so not user creation error.

I always assumed the change in the last digit meant it was OK to swap between patch versions.. it was the middle digit that caused database issues. Is this not the case between 8.5.0 and 8.5.1?

Am I forced to upgrade to 8.5.1 or is there another solution? I am very stable at 8.5.0 and don't want to jump if not vital.

I see big problems going down from 8.5.1.HFUA to 8.51.HERA or 8.5.0.

The HFUA version changes numerous (hundreds possibly) of ProductReference variables into ProductID ones.

I can't see how you can go up to HFUA and back down to any previous version without breaking things.

              Cheers Norman.

So is there any way around this? If I upgrade to v8.5.1 for this one site then this would require all sites (and hence clients installations) to upgrade accordingly!

This is going to be a Royal pain in the bum for developers (again probably taking the brunt) if this is the case

If the upgrade was not compatible (and such a dramatic change) why did we not jump to v8.6.0?

Jont - buy another PC, then stick V8.5.1 on it and problem solved

                Not helping much am i

So not a good idea for me to upgrade to V8.5.1 then? Was thinking about that this weekend i'll hold off for now

Aye - don't fancy buying several machines to run each copy of v8.5.n .. or even VM ware (PC is rickety as it is trying to run v8 let alone owt else to add to the mix)

well having gone from 850 to 851 and then 851hfua i find hfua fine

850 was kindof thrust upon me, so i had no real choice in the matter

but the only solution is 2 or 3 pcs or multi VM- sad and pita

Along with the cost of v8!

Would appreciate anyone from Actinic offering any suggestions or finalising my fate with this please.

                              Thanks.
