    Still no data entries

Hi i did Ask a while back but really didnt give much info, When trying to Print Data Entries i get the message: "Not enough memory for operation." And when tring to Preview the Data Entry i get:
    "Error in File C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\DataEntry.rpt:
    Error in formula <Record_Selection>.
    '({Orders.Order Sequence Number} IN [33894]) and ({Orders.bOrderIsDeleted} = False) and {Orders.bLockedForReport} = true'
    A number is required here."

I know i have Enough memory For this action and im using Actinic Buisness V8.0.4.0.0.0.GMVA if this helps. this has been the same for a few months now and have really had enough of having to copy peoples card details into an Adjustment so that i can run the sale through on my streamline machine. Tried to use the one stop order processing for actinic but when you have over 50 orders its easy to make a mistake. If anyone could help with this it would help. Thanks

The "not enough memory issue" affected several of us (myself included) at some point despite having plenty of memory. Since upgrading to v8.5 this has stopped. It would be worth creating a snapshot, un-installing Actinic and installing the FULL version from scratch then adding the snapshot back in again.

Re-installing is also likely to sort your reports file issue also.

Have you checked the printer that is being used for the data entry report - you can do this by going as if to print and selecting printer setup from the dialog box that pops up. It might be that the printer for this report is invalid - or that you don't have any printers defined on your PC.

The other thing that can effect the data entry report is having encrypted credit card details, do you have this feature switched on?

Out of interest, when you printed from One Stop Order Processing, did the report print correctly?

To get your credit card details printed, use the outstanding credit card report (this will give you a list of credit card details from orders that have not yet been paid for).

        Not enough memory for operation.

        Hi Guys

I have just started to get this problem when printing packing lists to Flashpaper. I am using Actinic Business Multisite v 8.5.1.

Does this mean I have to snapshot ALL my sites, uninstall and reinstall???

        ty!

Have you checked that the printer you are printing to exist and have the latest drivers installed?

            Hi Jan

I produced some packing lists in the morning - I save them as Flashpaper PDF's and send them to the be printed elsewhere - and it all worked fine! Then this evening it was did not have enough memory... I closed everything down, rebooted and still no joy. Nothing else changed.

            grrrrr lol

It is okay, I have worked round it by printing to Acrobat Distiller instead!
              thanks

I am having the same problem, “not enough memory for operation” error.

                I am running v8.5.1.1 multi-site.

Have tried compacting, re-installing etc with no love and the Adobe distiller trick no workie.

All this happened out of the blue, my site has been up for about a year and I have never had this problem before.

                Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you changed your printer recently? Actinic stores printer settings for each report, so if you have made any changes to your printer configuration, then that could be the cause.

I have not made any changes to printers etc.

When I try to preview the data-entry report I get this error.

                    Error in File C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\DataEntry.rpt:

I think that is a red herring, there is nothing wrong with that formula, the real error will be elsewhere in the report probably, this might be one for Actinic support I think.

I managed to sort it out.

I had installed an old version of Crystal Reports (v6.0) on my machine, once removed actinic was printing ok again.

Kinda weird because all the other reports were printing fine with it installed.

I also experience the "Not Enough Memory" error today totally out of the blue.

Problem was fixed by doing the following:
                          1. Made sure my computer was connected to my printer
                          2. Made sure the connected printer was set as my default printer
                          3. Reverse shipping and payment entries (I was getting the error when using Operations | Complete Order)
                          4. Compacted database and shipping
                          5. Restart Actinic

Step 4 was critical as not doing it did not solve my problem. My problem originated from my default printer settings having changed - I operate from a laptop so have different printers at home and office and somehow I unknowingly changed the default settings.

Hope this will help someone sometime

Also having problems with Actinic recognising a printer change.

Printer has been installed with no issues, and works fine with other programmes.

Database has been compacted, re-started, etc etc.

How can I alter what Actinic remembers the printer to be? Even the Printer Set Up does not bring up the options box.

presumably you've been into the Print Setup menu in Actinic itself.
It does ignore any changes in the computer printer settings (ie change of default printer) until it's been changed in the Actinic menu too but I did this relatively recently and, once changed in the File > Print Setup menu, had no problems.

That said, you might need to enter the print setup menu before printing each report type (ie Report Selection > Print Setup ) and ensure it's carried the change over to there too.
