    EPOS link to Actinic Business

    Hi,
I am a current user of Catalog and looking to upgrade to Business and EPOS. I've downloaded the trial versions to a seperate PC (Laptop) and have installed both Business and EPOS.

I've switched on the EPOS link in Business and have both bits of software running.

I'm trying to transfer the product details from Business to EPOS but cannot figure out how to do it....

The configuration in EPOS is confusing and doesn't let me change away from the defalt C:/CHECKOUT for anything and the set-up in Business just asks for a SERVER. The default is localhost. What am I supposed to do next? I've tested the connection and it doesn't work. I've searched the help files and forums and FAQS.

    Can someone please help me.

Assuming EPOS and Business are on the same machine, then localhost is fine for the Ecommerce to EPOS connection.

If you do not have an EPOS menu item in your Actinic Business, then go into the Business Settings and you will see one knocking about (can not recall where in there right now, but somewhere) which needs to be enabled to activate the EPOS link functions.

Once you find and enable that, then the link for Epos will appear and you can then send to EPOS.

I have the link switched on (as noted in my first post), but I get the following, message when I try to send the product data "Couldn't connect to Actinic Head Office to load EPOS Tax codes. Please check your Head Office connection settings, the network connection and ensure that Actinic EPOS Server is running on the Head Office computer".

As far as I know I have no Head Office computer set up.

Is is likely to be Network Setup in Actinic Business, as I have loaded my exising catalog data?

      Thanks

Are they both on the same machine?

Also, what version of EPOS are you running?

Yes, they are on the same Laptop and the version of EPOS I have is 2.73.

            Sorry, meant solo or network.

Think if you are getting head office issues, that maybe you have the wrong one installed and should be using solo maybe.
