    fragment layout

    hi
just wondering if anyone can help.
Have a brochure homepage in smart theme and have fragments laid out in 3 columns.
Would like to have a single fragment that goes across all 3 above this.
    Stumped!

Easiest way is to convert the whole page to 1 fragment wide and then in a text only fragment embed the html for your 3 column layout.

Or if you are feeling brave you can adjust the fragment list layout to show as 1 fragment wide at the top, 3 in the middle rows and then however many you want at the bottom. You effectively set what layout to use for top, middle and bottom.

The second options requires html experience and is far too lengthy to explain on a forum, it's actually quicker to set it up than explain it. If you have no experience in html, then embed the html, for the 3 columns. There is a fragment tutorial on my site if you do not know how to embed.

Went to design library/fragments list/standard brochure fragment list/edit list layout settings
          Left middle row as default
set first row to 1 but not sure what to put in folowin columns to keep it at top of page centre.

Like i said, don't get involved in this area unless you know html. You need to set the fragment column count as the td colspan amount in the first column and remove the others. Use a search engine to search for 'colspan' if you want to understand what is going on, its a bit like merge cells if you know excel.
