Last product in every section centered

I have layed out my products in 2 columns. Now if there is an even number of products on a page, it will look nice as tidy (see attachment 1). But if there are an odd number of products, the last product will look untidy (see attachment 2).

Is there a way so that if there is an even number of products on a page, it will stay how it is (in attachment 1), but if there is an odd number of products, it will center the last product?

I hope this makes sense?

Attachment 3 shows how i want it to look when there is an odd number of products on the page.

One way...
Duplicate and rename your product List Layout and then you could alter the last row and add <td colspan="2"> into First Item|Before etc...

Apply this new layout when you have an odd number of products in a section.

Would I be a complete pain in the arse if i asked for some instructions?

If i created a new layout, would my customer be able to change a section to that layout in the "Layout" tab?

Backup first - there may be errors in my description. You also might need to tweak a bit to suit what you want.

This is based on Product List With Horizontal Dividers if you're using a different list layout then adapt accordingly.

Go to Design - Library - Layouts. Expand Products Lists, right click on Product List With Horizontal Dividers and select copy, rename to something else such as My Product List With Horizontal Dividers.

Go to the product section, layout tab and select the Product List Layout to be My Product List With Horizontal Dividers. Now go to the Design View and select a product in that section. Use the up arrow icon at bottom left till you find you are in the code My Product List With Horizontal Dividers.

Click Edit List Layout Settings at the bottom of the code window. Go to the Edit Rows and Columns tab. In the No of items/last Row select 1. In Before Row/last Row type <tr>. In First Item(Before)/Last Row type <td valign="top" colspan="2">. In First Item(After)/Last Row type </td>. Open After Row/Middle Row and copy all contents. Open After Row/Last Row and paste the contents in. Apply. OK.

That should have spread the last product across the two rows. Select to use this product list whenever you have an odd number of products in a section.
