    Customer Account VAT Tax Issue

    Hi everyone,

I am creating a new V8.5 website for a client and one of their requirements is to have customer accounts activated, which is fine. The default tax that I am using is 'Standard Tax Inclusive Price' so they will have to input their prices without VAT and let the software added it accordingly.
eg.The product is £46.15 inc VAT so I have typed in £39.28 and the software makes it £46.15

The issue that I have found is that I have created a test customer account and have applied a 10% discount to my account. I have then logged in online to do testing and when I have come to the products I have found that the prices are displayed excluded tax.

I spoke to Tech Support regarding this and apparently the default setting for this is Standard Tax Exclusive Price. Is it just me or does that seem strange for the software to do this. Can it not take the global site setting and adjust accordingly?

Has anybody else come across thsi issue before?

IS there a way to alter this so that the Our Price / Your Price will both display the Inclusive Tax Price global setting.

I'd love to hear from anybody with suggestions.
    Regards.

Business customers (for whom accounts are most commonly used) expect to see pricing without VAT (i.e. the net price they would really pay after offsetting the VAT on their returns).
