Can I apply different order codes for choices within a single product.

I have been using Actinic since v4 but never found the answer to this problem!
We sell Filofaxes on our site and there are numerous colour variations available in the different models. I want to be able to assign product codes to the different colour choices within each product so that the code is visible to us on received orders but not to the customer when they are browsing this site.
I'm sure/hope the solution is simple! Thanks

well, not really!

I suppose the "simple" method would be to actually write the product code next to the choice so it shows in the cart/invoice

If this isn't a desirable option, then I believe that the only other way to do it would be to set up associated products.
Presumably you have each colour set up using the component/attribute/choice method?

If this is the case, then you need to do the next step which is detailed in my reply to THIS POST

This will give you single orderline on the order/invoice etc giving the product code/reference of the actual chosen colour item and not the main filofax item.
