Background Image in JavaScript Section List in a box

Hi,

Can anyone help me please am using the JavaScript Section List in a box variable. Background colour is set to white, but I would like to have a background image with the navigation text above it. Have tried altering the css to include a background image but the best I can get is the image at the top of the table and the text in a single line underneath.

Any help would be appreciated

which layout is providing the jscript list?
which style settings are you altering.
