Shall I start again?
After a complete uninstall/reinstall/overwrite backed up site 1 folder the same problem is occuring.
I have licensed a 'site2' and tried doing a snapshot of that to see if works and it's fine, exactly as it should be therefore I am convinced that something in my imported v7 site is causing the problem.
I have come to the conclusion that I may be better starting with a completely fresh re-design of our website since the current database has existed since version 4 and there's loads of unwanted images and god knows what lurking in the database. I am also finding it extremeley frustrating trying to change overwritten and upgraded v7templates etc etc.
Since we are using multi user Business V8 I presume I can work on a 'site2' whilst 'site1' is still uploading changes and downlaoding orders?
Many thanks for everyone help/suggestions on this. I have even had support scratching their heads
