Basket when use components and attributes

I sell some stuff that has different sizes and different prices, so I've set it uo using components/attributes and choices, and it all works fine, expcept the layout in the basket/checkout is a bit odd as you get in the quantity column 1 for the product and 1 for the size, so at a quick glance it looks like two products, although there's only one price.

Am I doing something wrong? help would be appreciated.

If you are referring to this then no, nothing wrong, what you are seeing is normal.

yes, I am, but I do think this is somewhat confusing for our less savvy customers ..

It is normal behaviour, and yes you are right, it is confusing. Luckily, you can change it, look at this thread:-
