Emptying The Cart When People Leave The Checkout

    Help !

Have gone thro' the latest instructions in the new AUG to make this work what seems like a hundred times and cannot get it to work.

When the cancel button is pressed the pop-up warning comes up fine and warns that the cart contents is to emptied, but when it re-directs (in my case back to the home page) the cart is not empty as it should be.

I have tried also placing the code just above the closing head tag, and after, and several other places too, but it makes no difference.

Anyone else had problems with this and knows how to make it work ?

I think your problem can be explained as follows

This script works by replacing the current cookie holding the cart contents with a new empty cookie

The original cart cookie is created on domain www acaciamasonic com

using the script in the cart, creates an empty cookie on domain secure hosts co uk

unless you can specify that the cookie is created on the correct domain it will not work for you.

I don't think you can, I thnk the AUG code only works if you use SSL on your own domain rather than hopping to secure.hosts.co.uk.

I'm assuming the cookie/empty basket issue is the same issue as we get when sites jump from www to non www urls
