search top section level

hi all

i am trying to crate a search for my top level sections only so i want the following sections to be searchable (note that the red sections are the top sections and the black are the sections directly underneath)

- by size
- small single
- single etc
- By type
- metal frames
- mattresses etc
By brand
- airsprung
- silentnight etc

and then the normal search by price which has come up fine in search.html

when i go to searchable properties it just gives me a chance to search my permutations. is there a solution to this using actinic?

Sinead,

Go to the section that you do not wish to appear in the search and check on the 'General' tab, you should see a checkbox for 'Include as Selectable Section on Search Page', uncheck this and it will not appear in the search.

note: this will not be available if you do not have 'Search By Sections' enabled in 'Settings | Search Options'.
