Reference number for past as duplicate

Hi. When I copy and paste as duplicate a product, this one have a new reference for example A111 become 1!A111. Is there a way to hide the "1!" at the beginning of the new number ?

This indicates it is a duplicate. Where on the site are you seeing this?

No there isn't, that is it's duplicate identity. Remove the prod ref if you don't want it showing.

You can see this here : http://www.supreme.fr/acatalog/Promo10.html. So if not possible I will keep it : it was only to have better identification for the customer.

It's possible that in v8.5.1 HFUA (which is the one you are using) You could change ProductReference to ProductID and get the original reference without the 1! 2! etc. I would try that, and if it fails, just set it back to ProductReference.

What has been said so far is that ProductID is intended for where it is not visible to the customer, but that may not mean it cannot be used.
